Therapy dogs
Our Therapy dogs are selected for their gentle and affection nature – they are then trained to a high standard of obedience and tolerance. Therapy dogs need to be able to cope well in crowded places, with unusual noises, and be comfortable when petted and hugged by strangers. In addition, we train our Therapy dogs to recognise human emotional stress and how to intervene appropriately by deploying skills/tasks such as deep pressure therapy.
Therapy dogs are able to provide both physical and emotional benefits, improving physical and mental health across a wide spectrum of the community:

Confidence and behavioural training for Assistance dogs (and their humans) in all manner of transport (planes, trains, buses, trams, ferries, taxi).
Public Access
Confidence and behavioural training for Assistance dogs (and their humans) in public places to the required standard set by the Assistance Dog Assessment Associations (ADAA).
